Yoga – A Misunderstanding

I had to get involved. There was a famous local Yoga Guru, and As per Him Yoga means “Just excercise with Indian music being pkayed behind. “Bullshit… this is not yoga.
Being from a family with strong and rich experiences of 300 Years of Hindu Meditation, I feel it is my responsibility of clear it out.
The Indian Meditation has the below stages

  1. Chinta (Thinking) – this is just thinking about something.
  2. Sadhana (Practice) Here the student learns the procedure of Dhyan and starts practicing daily. Daily practice and discipline is the main thing of Sadhana.
  3. Dhyan (Concentartion) – Students at this stage practices concentrating on single thought for long hours.
  4. Yoga ( Coupling) – This is an advanced stage, where the concentration and philoshophy takes the students to a level where they can feel the conmection between soul and body, or other words between Mind and Body. At the same time the students learn to differentiate between Body and Soul.
  5. Samadhi – This ,as per the Hinduism is the last stage of meditation, where the practitionar can feel the soul/mind seperately from body. The concentration on soul/mind is so high at this stage, that the practitioner cannot feel body anymore.

The Physical Excercises , practised are called “Asanas” and not Yogas. Anybody says otherwise, send him/her my way.
