I remember it was during summer vacation. We used to come out of our house and spend few hours outside in open in the evening, walking, chatting etc. It was a fun time. I was in 5th standard and during one of such summer evening , one of our neighbor uncle first taught us the game of chess.
few of us loved it and next few evenings in that vacation we spent trying to play. Among us, few literally gave up after few days but some of us really got the taste of the game. Obviously I admit I never used to strategize any game that time. My target was always that time, just to play a defensive move against my opponents attack. And my common partner was a senior guy, who was 4 years senior to me and obviously was a better chess player. So my aim was to stop him from winning.
Yeah, that was my way of playing for a very long time.
Many things happened in between in life, there were years when I never played a single game.
back in 2012, I luckily met few colleagues who love chess. I started playing with them. They were so good, I lots every single game i played with them.
Decided to practice more, and got into Chess.com.
I got to play with Computers and also can play so many games with real opponents online. Can play different types of chess. can create and take part in Tournaments.
It is awesome.
Recently I upgraded to premium membership to have access to unlimited access to Tactics. Yes, I realized how important is to strategize during a game.
I am still a beginner level chess player. But my Love for chess has grew even more.
